Leveraging the model to create detailed technical animations that align with written work instructions significantly improves the teams understanding of the task which leads to work being done in a safe manner, more accurately and ultimately faster. These animations, and all required documentation, are then maintained within the CMMS and directly linked to the 3D model.
Relocation & Commissioning
Through laser scanning to create a complete model, relocating a facility becomes methodical by sectioning equipment into shippable pieces and allowing for logistic management and scheduling between construction and shipping companies. The model also expediates commissioning by familiarizing the commissioning team and operators with the equipment before it is installed.
Constructability Planning
Some view a model as a design tool; we view it as a means of communication. When it comes to constructability planning, we use the model to develop animations and digital work instructions to ensure a comprehensive understanding of execution strategies while ensuring safety and efficiency in everything we do.
