Fort McDowell Casino Renovation
Fort McDowell Casino Renovation included a 160,000 square feet expansion that tied into the existing operating casino and required close coordination with GC and casino to avoid impacting ongoing operations.
GrayWolf's scope of work included design and engineering of the stairs for casino and parking garage. We were released early in an effort to work with the design team to incorporate value engineering and lock in steel material pricing. We worked with the design team to finalize connection details and were heavily involved in weekly coordination meetings utilizing 3D modeling and clash detection. We also worked with the GC to help overcome construction schedule impacts due to a late foundation redesign which included increasing footing sizes and adding pin piles at numerous locations.
Solutions included shifting areas of priority for steel erection and erecting steel over open trenches for underground utilities.
