The Santa Barbara Police Station is a new 64,000 square foot, 3-story building plus an 84,000 sq. ft 236 stall parking garage built to consolidate the four separate Santa Barbara police stations that previously existed. Our scope of work included the fabrication and erection of structural and miscellaneous steel, including steel stairs, elevator, support steel, steel counter tops, pit ladder, bench supports, weathervane, and bollards. Limited laydown room in the small residential downtown area meant for effective coordination with the GC and subcontractors to facilitate successful execution. Some unique features of this project are the slide plate design and CLT planking in lieu of metal decking for a special interior ceiling aesthetic.
