Spring Fire Training Center
The Spring Fire Training Center consists of four separate buildings, totaling 54,000 square feet, used as a training center for the City of Spring, Texas Fire Department. The facility contains restocking and maintenance areas for trucks and equipment, administrative offices, storage rooms, department offices, and a residential area for extended training and on-site staff.
Our scope of work included the fabrication and erection of structural and miscellaneous steel for the outdoor classroom, two burn buildings and the logistics building. A 500-ton crane was utilized to erect the nine large trusses that were shipped in 3-piece sections and assembled on site for the logistics building. This required effective coordination with the fabricator, trucking company, crane, and the erector to ensure materials were obtained in the correct sequence for installation.
