Located in Tempe, Arizona, the ASU Wrap project features the installation of 133 tons of structural steel across an impressive 132,000 square feet. The scope of work included miscellaneous structural steel components and the construction of an eyebrow canopy, which was uniquely installed in two separate pieces. This canopy cantilevers over Mill Avenue, making its installation particularly challenging as it required careful coordination and execution while students remained active on campus. The project presented significant challenges, such as sharing a crane with other trades and erecting steel directly from a semi-truck. To successfully overcome these obstacles, the team scheduled work around other trade partners and utilized special hours to ensure smooth progress and minimal disruption. The ASU Wrap stands as a testament to innovative project management and collaborative execution in a dynamic campus environment.
