Fort Bend County Solar Farm is the first solar PV plant in the state of Texas. It has an energy capacity of 240 MW PV.

GrayWolf’s scope of work included purchasing, fabricating, coating and delivering 44,000 steel solar array piers to the solar project in South Texas.

The project required GrayWolf’s project team to work collaboratively with the client, who had not yet completed final design. In addition, pier material availability had become a critical issue and was endangering the project schedule. GrayWolf was able to work with the client to help them through certain design considerations and then proactively source the material so production could begin on schedule. GrayWolf’s project and shop production teams worked daily with the client’s site team to effectively coordinate and manage the logistics required to move daily truckloads of materials from GrayWolf’s fabrication facilities, to the galvanizer, to the site. The project was completed on time and the client was able to meet their pier installation schedule per their contract with the project owner.
